Direct Care Counselor - Connections, New Ulm (Fulltime and Part-Time)
JOB SUMMARY: The staff member's primary duty includes providing supervision and support service to the Connections Program residents. Offer skill building services and supervision/structure to children while they are placed at Greater Minnesota Family Services' Connections Program.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience: At least one year of work experience in residential setting working with at risk youth are preferred.
Compensation: Pay ranges are based on education and experience.
Skills & Knowledge: Understanding of counseling techniques and theories related to mental health issues of children and families. Being able to provide guidance and leadership to children and complete all required tasks. Processes skills and knowledge in dealing with youth at risk and their behaviors.
Program License Requirements: Must be over 21 years of age. must have current driver's license, provide personal care insurance information, and qualify as having a positive motor vehicle report. Must be approved through a state and federal background check process.
